- With the franchise or business customer that operates the location where you use Cherry Inspect (they own and control inspection records).
- With trusted service providers who help us run the product (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, error monitoring) under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Drive Cherry, our users, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case affected users will be notified.
4. Data Retention

- Account profile data is retained while your account is active.
- Vehicle inspection records are retained on behalf of the franchise or business customer that owns them.
- Backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
- Records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or other legal compliance may be retained for up to 7 years.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and routine security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
